Ottawa curler earns $3,500 Curling Canada scholarship

On Simply Ottawa, Ottawa native Katrina Frlan is being recognized with a $3,500 “For the Love of Curling Scholarship” from Curling Canada. The Huntley Curling Club member has been curling since she was six and helped her team win the Canadian Junior Cup. Frlan also plays for the University of Guelph curling team, volunteers at CHEO events and mentors young curlers. She hopes to eventually follow in the footsteps of Ottawa's Rachel Homan and play at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts.
