China’s ‘OFFICIAL ENTRY’ Into Houthi War: MBS Fires DEADLY DF-15A Chinese Missile Against Iran Ally

Saudi Arabia may have opened a previously undisclosed section of its ballistic-missile arsenal, with debris recovered in Yemen reportedly identified as components of a Chinese DF-15A. The wreckage appeared in Marib’s Raghwan district amid intensified fighting between the Houthis and Saudi-backed government forces. While the missile’s features reportedly resemble the DF-15A, available evidence has not conclusively established that Saudi Arabia owned or launched it. Unlike Riyadh’s previously known DF-3A and DF-21 missiles, the DF-15A is a shorter-range tactical weapon suited to conventional battlefield strikes. It is road-mobile, uses solid fuel and has a reported range of approximately 600 kilometres. Confirmation would suggest that Saudi-Chinese missile cooperation is broader than previously understood—and that Riyadh’s ballistic arsenal is no longer reserved primarily for strategic deterrence against major regional adversaries.
