Thirlwall Inquiry finds NHS bosses failed to stop Lucy Letby harming babies

The Thirlwall Inquiry has found that some babies could have been saved if earlier safeguarding action had been taken against former nurse Lucy Letby at the Countess of Chester Hospital.

Lady Justice Thirlwall highlighted a complete failure to invoke safeguarding procedures, with senior managers ignoring doctors' concerns and delaying calling the police for nearly a year.
