‘Putin Losing Or NATO Panicking?’: Rutte ‘LIES’ On Cam; Then Begs For More Weapons For Ukraine

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte has accused Vladimir Putin of desperation while calling for increased military assistance to Ukraine. Speaking in Brussels, Rutte claimed Russia was suffering more than 40,000 casualties every month and described the strike on a passenger train near NATO territory as evidence that Moscow was “struggling.” He did not present supporting evidence for the casualty estimate during the address. Rutte argued that Putin was attempting to weaken NATO’s unity and stop the alliance from supporting Kyiv. His proposed response was to deepen that support and reaffirm NATO’s commitment to collective defence. The speech carried a central contradiction: NATO portrays Russia as increasingly weakened and desperate, yet continues warning that Ukraine requires additional Western weapons to resist Moscow.
