Six and a half years ago, when we started this off-grid journey, moments like this were exactly what we dreamed about. ❤️

For YEARS we’ve wanted to grow enough of our own tomatoes to make homemade tomato sauce — and this year, we finally did it! We headed out to the garden, harvested a big batch of tomatoes we grew ourselves, and turned them into homemade fire-roasted tomato sauce using our wood-fired oven.

There’s just something pretty incredible about walking out to your own garden, picking food you grew from tiny plants, and turning it into something you can put on the table. It might seem like a simple thing, but for us, this was one of those moments where we looked around and thought… THIS is what we’ve been working toward.

Little by little, one project, one garden and one crazy idea at a time, this place is becoming everything we dreamed it could be. And getting to make our own fire-roasted tomato sauce from tomatoes grown right here on our property definitely felt like another dream coming true. 🍅🔥❤️
