54-year-old Greek woman gives birth to baby from embryo frozen for 22 years

A 54-year-old Greek woman has given birth to a baby girl from an embryo frozen for 22 years. The birth came months after losing her son in a road crash in October. Cristina Rapti-Tzelepi delivered Georgia at a private clinic in Athens on Wednesday. The case has renewed debate over Greece’s legal age limit for in vitro fertilization, which is currently 54.
