Quiet Days Alone | A Bedroom Makeover & Building a Softer Life

Hi, I’m Katya. I’m 36, I live in Ukraine, and I’m slowly rebuilding my life after a breakup.

Today I’m repainting my bedroom and trying to hang a new canopy by myself. What seemed like a simple little project unexpectedly brought me to tears and made me think about loneliness, independence, and how difficult it can be to ask for help.

In the end, my brother came to help, the canopy finally went up, and the day ended quietly — with plants, warm lights, and Juliet beside me.
