CTV News Ottawa put the city’s transit system and roadways to the test, racing from Barrhaven's Marketplace station to the ByWard Market during the morning rush hour. CTV's Tyler Fleming took OC Transpo while Peter Szperling drove, with both reporters arriving downtown in exactly one hour. Fleming says his first bus was a no-show and he had to stand on a packed Route 75 bus, but the O-Train transfer at Tunney's Pasture was smooth. Szperling says his drive was unusually slow after a crash on Highway 417 caused significant stop-and-go traffic, forcing Google Maps to change his route several times.
