Iran Ally’s ‘SECRET AI MISSILE’ Factory EXPOSED: Houthis Use Claude To Build Rockets, Deadly Weapons

A weapons-development cell based in northern Yemen allegedly used Anthropic’s Claude chatbot to assist work on guided rockets, a ballistic missile with a planned range exceeding 2,000 kilometres and a proposed hypersonic glide vehicle. According to Anthropic, the actors used Claude Code as a substitute for human software engineers. The chatbot reportedly assisted with guidance, navigation, flight-control software, firmware, simulations and the integration of commercially available components. The company says many requests were blocked, but the users concealed the project’s military purpose and divided individual tasks across separate conversations. Anthropic also claims the programme progressed to a live guided-rocket test in Yemen. The launch reportedly failed, after which the users returned to Claude with flight data seeking help diagnosing the problem. Anthropic banned the associated accounts and strengthened its safeguards. No operational missile resulting from the programme has been confirmed, and the company did not identify the group involved.
