Accessible playground reopens in Victoria after fire

Victoria's Stadacona Park is re-opening following a suspicious fire that caused hundreds of thousands of dollars in damage. Parts of the playground were torched at the end of March 2026, and a suspect was arrested for arson days later. The City of Victoria syas repairs cost $350,000 which came from its contingency fund. A community-led fundraiser kicked in $11,000.
