Antec FLUX Rear Review: Clever Airflow, But Is It Actually Better?

AI Article: Perplexity Google Lens
Leo takes a look at the Antec FLUX Rear, an £85 mid-tower case with a rather unusual approach to cooling. The power supply moves to the front of the chassis, opening up the bottom of the case for two reverse-flow intake fans that feed fresh air directly towards the graphics card.
Antec includes five fans in total, along with support for back-connect motherboards, a 360mm radiator in the roof and graphics cards up to 400mm long. But does moving everything around actually result in a better PC case?

Leo builds a high-end system using an AMD Ryzen 7 9850X3D, Palit RTX 5080 GameRock OC and a 360mm AIO before putting the FLUX Rear through thermal and noise testing.

Antec Flux Rear

At a 23C ambient temperature we saw:
1000RPM case fans: CPU 88C / GPU 64C
1500RPM case fans: CPU 84C / GPU 63C
1500RPM case fans + 2200RPM AIO: CPU 83C / GPU 63C

There’s plenty to like here. Access is good, cable management is straightforward and the cooling system works. On the other hand, build quality could be better, there’s no PWM fan hub and, ultimately, very little about the FLUX Rear truly stands out.
