Democrats are turning up the heat on John Fetterman after his surprise appearance at the Republican midterm convention, accusing the Pennsylvania senator of drifting too close to Donald Trump and abandoning the voters who once backed him.
At a Democratic response event, lawmakers called Fetterman’s GOP convention appearance a “stunt,” said they were “gravely disappointed” in him, and argued that he has repeatedly sided with Trump on key votes. One speaker said constituents who once knocked on doors for Fetterman are now “livid.”
