RNLI enhances security and advises crew to hide logos amid anti-migrant abuse

RNLI volunteers and staff have been advised where appropriate not to wear the charity's branded clothing in public due to what it calls unacceptable abuse from anti-migrant protesters.

The charity has upgraded security at its bases after weekend demonstrations in Dover and Portsmouth, where protesters accused lifeboat crews of treason after a boat carrying 120 migrants arrived.
