With "Practical Magic 2" coming out this week, we wanted to revisit the original movie from 1998 first. Christy hadn't seen it since it opened, and Alonso had never seen it, so this was a good opportunity to play catch-up. Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman star as sisters in small-town Massachusetts who are also witches. They're also under a curse from one of their ancestors which renders them incapable of being in love. Directed by Griffin Dunne, written by Robin Swicord, Akiva Goldsman and Adam Brooks, based on the Alice Hoffman novel. Co-starring Dianne Wiest, Stockard Channing, Aiden Quinn and Goran Visnjic.
