‘F-35, F-16 & F-15...’: Iran Unleashes Missile Fury On US Base, Fighter Jets Targeted?

Iran launched a ballistic missile strike on a U.S. military base near Al Azraq in Jordan after the United States destroyed five Iranian oil tankers. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said the attack targeted a base used by U.S. forces, where advanced fighter aircraft including F-35s, F-16s and F-15s are stationed or serviced. Jordan said its air defences intercepted 18 of 20 Iranian missiles, while U.S. officials said American troops were accounted for and the strikes were ineffective. The escalation follows Iranian missile attacks on a U.S. Navy warship, which Washington cited as the reason for destroying the tankers. Iran has also targeted ships in the Strait of Hormuz, raising fears of a wider regional confrontation.
