Saudi Arabia says Houthi attacks hit energy sites and wound 73

Saudi authorities say Yemen's Iran-backed Houthi rebels, officially known as Ansar Allah, have carried out attacks on energy facilities in the south of the kingdom, wounding at least 73 civilians, including women and children.
The Saudi-led coalition spokesman Major-General Turki al-Maliki said the attacks hit civilian and economic sites in Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jizan and Najran, calling it a "dangerous escalation" and a "blatant violation" of Saudi sovereignty.
He warned the coalition would take "all necessary operational measures".
Saudi political analyst Khaled Batarfi told Al Jazeera the escalation is "too much" and expects the coalition to respond "eye for an eye".
The attacks come as fighting intensifies in Yemen, where government-aligned forces have launched a counteroffensive against Houthi positions.
The World Health Organization says 1,078 people have been killed or wounded since August 24, while more than 21,000 have been displaced since Thursday.
