Thousands attend funeral of convicted war criminal Ratko Mladic | DW News

Mladic died late August while serving a life sentence in the Hague for crimes against humanity and genocide. He oversaw the massacre of over 8000 Bosniak men and boys in Srebrenica during the break up of former Yugoslavia. Serbia initially said Mladic would receive a full state funeral. That decision was partly reversed after international condemnation.
