A German far-right party made big gains in Sunday's regional election.
Exit polls show AfD secured 43.8 percent of the vote, in the eastern state of Saxony-Anhalt.
But it still needs to secure support from other parties to form a coalition government.
And that could test a long-standing policy among Germany's mainstream parties of refusing to work with the far-right.
