I Discovered an Ice Age Village Hidden in the Rocky Mountains

Deep in the Rocky Mountains, I set out on an expedition to investigate remote caves and search for evidence of the people who lived here thousands of years ago.

The adventure began with a hike over a rugged mountain before I reached a massive cliff and rappelled down into a hidden cave system. What I discovered inside was incredible: ancient pictographs, artifacts, caves, rock shelters and evidence that people once lived and travelled through these mountains long before the modern world existed.

I continue deeper into the Rocky Mountain wilderness, exploring places that are incredibly difficult to reach and searching for clues to the ancient history of North America. From mysterious pictographs and archaeological sites to hidden caves and possible Ice Age history, every discovery raises more questions about the people who once called these mountains home.

This expedition combines archaeology, ancient history, cave exploration, rappelling, hiking and backcountry adventure in one of the wildest landscapes in Canada.
