What do you know about Guatemala? If you're anything like the average American, probably not much. It's generally seen as one of the more dangerous countries in Latin America. They don't get much tourism. Apparently a lot of them have immigrated to the US, both legally and illegally.

But...this was also the country of the MAYANS. The Mayans! They invented a sophisticated writing system and their own calendar, plus those huge temples you've seen pictures of! There's no way that this country could suck.

So what was the real story? Well, as always, I was on the ground to find out. Let's go, we've got a roadtrip ahead.
