‘RAMASWAMY RIVAL ATTACKED’: Amy Acton Targeted At Ohio Fair; Armed Suspect Arrested | Watch

Ohio Democratic gubernatorial candidate Amy Acton escaped unharmed after an armed person allegedly lunged at her during a campaign stop at the Canfield Fair on Sunday. Several people were injured in the incident, while a local Democratic Party official said the suspect was arrested with “multiple weapons.”

Acton, a physician and former Ohio health director, remained at the scene and was seen helping one of the injured. The attack comes as she faces Republican Vivek Ramaswamy in a closely watched race to succeed term-limited Governor Mike DeWine. Ramaswamy’s campaign condemned the violence, saying candidates should be able to meet voters without fear of threats or attacks. Authorities had not immediately announced a motive.
