Ohio Democratic gubernatorial candidate Amy Acton is facing a wave of online attention after a fiery campaign appearance alongside Pete Buttigieg, where she repeatedly declared that “you cannot buy the state” and reminded the crowd that she is a doctor entering the political arena.
“Look, I’m a doctor. I’m not a politician. I’m becoming one right in front of your eyes,” Acton told supporters, before joking that her last election was in high school — and that she remains on a “winning streak.”
