During a discussion about Pentagon leadership during the Iran conflict, one lawmaker warned that the Army could be left without confirmed leadership for an extended period and called the instability “problematic.” Another delivered an even harsher assessment, branding Hegseth an “unmitigated disaster” and arguing that it could take “years to recover” from the damage being done to senior military leadership.
