Pardoned January 6 defendant Jake Lang is facing renewed controversy after tearing up a Quran at a Harlem church and making inflammatory comments about Muslims. Lang, who was charged with assaulting police officers during the January 6 Capitol riot and later served four years in prison, was pardoned by President Donald Trump on his first day back in office.
Since then, Lang has built a new political profile through anti-Islam demonstrations, Quran-burning protests and confrontations with counter-protesters across the United States. He now leads Americans Against Islamization and is also running for U.S. Senate in Florida.
