Historic 179-year-old fall fair draws thousands

Thousands of people from across the region are celebrating the Labour Day weekend at the 179th annual Perth Fair. CTV's Kimberley Johnson speaks with Perth Fair director Jeannie Seguin, who says the event helps young people understand where their food comes from. Smiths Falls resident Craig Boyd says he visits every year for the food and rides, while The Dusty Rose Boutique owner Lisa Crawford notes the event introduces her store to new clients. Organizers say planning is already underway for next year to mark the agricultural festival's 180th anniversary.
