This 1940s china cabinet was the first piece of furniture I ever made over and almost a decade later, I’m refinishing it for the FOURTH time.
Rather than replace a well-built piece of vintage furniture, I’m giving it another update to work with my home today. I’ll take you through the complete furniture makeover, from cleaning and sanding the old painted finish to fixing sticking doors, replacing broken glass and spraying a durable new finish.

This cabinet may not be a priceless antique, but it’s solid, well-built furniture and exactly why I believe good furniture is worth updating over and over again, instead of discarding.
