IRAN-US WAR: Iran’s retaliatory missile strikes have put American military bases across West Asia under growing pressure, while a new report has raised concerns over alleged Russian assistance to Iran’s development of advanced supersonic cruise missile technology.
According to a Financial Times investigation cited in the report, Moscow has allegedly been helping Tehran develop advanced missile capabilities under a program known as C430, with the reported cooperation dating back to 2023. Russian missile specialists are reportedly assisting Iranian engineers with ramjet technology, potentially giving Iran the ability to develop low-flying, high-speed cruise missiles that could pose a greater challenge to missile defenses.
There is, however, a major caveat: there is currently no evidence that a Russian-assisted supersonic cruise missile has entered operational Iranian service. The reported program appears focused on developing Iran’s technological capabilities rather than simply transferring a completed weapon.
The development comes amid deepening Russia-Iran relations, with Vladimir Putin publicly expressing support for Tehran while stopping short of acknowledging direct military assistance. Iran has previously supplied Russia with drone technology during the Ukraine conflict, adding another dimension to the growing strategic relationship between Moscow and Tehran.
The report also comes as American military personnel and bases across the region face attacks amid the escalating US-Iran conflict.
Watch the full report for the latest developments surrounding Iran’s missile capabilities, Russia’s alleged military assistance, US military bases in West Asia, supersonic cruise missiles and the growing Moscow-Tehran alliance.
