I Made a Knife for a Michelin Star Chef
Hey everyone! I could use your help with something. I still find it hard to ask people to subscribe in videos… it feels a little awkward every time. But it's free, it's fast, and it's basically the only metric that tells me I'm not just talking to myself in an empty workshop.
On this episode, I meet Chef Ki, the talented young owner of Michelin-starred Restaurant Ki, tucked away in Little Tokyo, Los Angeles.
At just 33, Ki has already built something rare, a hidden space that feels like its own world the moment you step inside.
I'm here to share our conversation, but really, I'm here to see if the knife I made him is good enough to carry on in his journey.
Ki is shy in front of the camera at first, but once he warms up, he's kind-hearted and quietly hilarious in his own subtle way.
I got to try a few of his dishes, and they gave me full Ratatouille moments, the kind that stop you mid-bite. Now I just hope the knife can live up to the skill behind them.
Let's find out.
