BLACKPOOL ILLUMINATIONS SWITCH-ON 2026! 🎆✨ Tonight Blackpool comes alive as thousands of people gather on the Tower Festival Headland for one of the biggest nights of the year!
Join me as we experience the incredible atmosphere of the **Blackpool Illuminations Switch-On 2026**, with live entertainment, huge crowds, music, fireworks and the moment the famous lights illuminate the Blackpool Promenade once again.

📅 Friday 4th September 2026
📍 Tower Festival Headland, Blackpool
⏰ Gates open: 4:30pm
💡 Illuminations Switch-On: approximately 9:15pm
🎤 **LIVE PERFORMANCE LINE-UP**
Lucy Spraggan takes to the stage with her fantastic live performance, followed by rock favourites **The Feeling**.
Then it's time for the headline act — legendary British pop group **Five**, performing a major headline set to get the crowds singing and dancing before the big Switch-On moment!
🎙️ The evening is hosted by **BBC Radio Lancashire presenters Graham Liver and Sharon Hartley**, with BBC Introducing also showcasing up-and-coming talent from across the region.
🌟 And then comes the moment everyone has been waiting for...
**PADDY McGUINNESS SWITCHES ON THE BLACKPOOL ILLUMINATIONS!** 💡🎉
At around **9:15pm**, Paddy McGuinness will pull the famous switch and officially launch the 2026 Blackpool Illuminations, lighting up miles of Blackpool's world-famous Promenade.
🎆 And the night doesn't end there — following the Switch-On, Blackpool will be treated to a spectacular **Tower fireworks finale**!
Expect huge crowds, an incredible atmosphere, live music, Blackpool Tower, the Illuminations, fireworks and plenty of excitement as the resort officially begins another spectacular Illuminations season.
