Thao was adopted by a local family in Vietnam and they moved up north where she was raised. She didn't have any information on how to find her birth family. She only knew of a woman named Sen whose name appears on one document that Thao accidently saw when she was young referencing her adoption. Many years later, Thao's sister Sarah found their birth mom through the help of Sen, who faciliated both of their adoptions. In this process, Sen told me about another daughter in the north and that she would try to connect us. It took many many months (almost a year) for the stars to align and Sen was able to track down Thao's adoptive family.
