What does J.P. Miller’s interview reveal when it’s analyzed by a man who trains law enforcement officers how to conduct evidence-based interviews?
Stan Walters — known as “The Lie Guy” — joins Billy Bush to break down NewsNation investigative journalist Rich McHugh’s extraordinary interview with J.P. Miller, the husband of Mica Miller and a central figure in Netflix’s Death of the Pastor’s Wife.
Walters approaches the interview differently. Mica Miller’s death was officially ruled a suicide. J.P. Miller has not been charged in connection with her death. The allegations concerning abuse and coercive control discussed in this episode remain allegations, and Walters makes clear that his analysis is not a determination that J.P. committed a crime.
