Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth faced a fiery grilling from Democratic Rep. Pat Ryan over the March 1 Iranian drone attack at Port Shuaiba in Kuwait that killed six U.S. soldiers.

Ryan, an Iraq War veteran and member of the House Armed Services Committee, accused Pentagon leadership of sending American troops to a location that internal analysis had allegedly identified as vulnerable to aerial attack. He also pressed Hegseth over claims that the site lacked necessary counter-drone systems and basic overhead protection when Iran struck.
