Rescuers in Nepal are racing to reach hundreds of workers believed trapped inside tunnels at hydropower projects in Rasuwa, near the Chinese border, after last week's catastrophic flash floods. The region has been among the hardest hit, with at least a dozen hydropower projects damaged. Rescue crews are using excavators and controlled blasts to clear huge boulders blocking tunnel entrances, while officials say they still hope some workers may have survived in unflooded sections. Families face an agonising wait, including Pratik Rana, whose engineer father is among those missing. A week after the disaster, uncertainty remains over conditions inside the tunnels as rescuers continue their search.
