OC Transpo's new fall schedule is adding seven 500-series express bus routes as the transit agency tries to ease overcrowding and improve travel times. CTV's Tyler Fleming reports that five of the new express routes serve Kanata, with most connecting directly to Tunney's Pasture, while others connect Kanata's tech centre with the DND campus on Carling. LRT service has also become more frequent, with Line 1 trains running every four minutes during peak periods. But after Monday's Line 1 shutdown caused by damaged overhead power lines, some riders remain skeptical about whether the changes will improve reliability. OC Transpo says it is too soon to assess the new schedule and expects to provide an update in the coming weeks.
