Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko put Russia, China and India at the center of the SCO’s future, describing them as powerful, resource-rich nuclear states. Speaking at the SCO Plus meeting in Bishkek, Lukashenko said other members expected the three major powers to take greater initiative. He also argued that deeper SCO-UN cooperation could help revitalize the United Nations and strengthen its role in resolving major global crises.
