Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesperson Majed al-Ansari has accused Israel of exploiting the conflict between the US and Iran to launch deadly strikes throughout the region.
He also said discussions are ongoing with Oman and Pakistan on de-escalation measures in the Middle East.
“Leaving the Strait of Hormuz crisis unresolved will lead to escalation and harm everyone. We are working with our partners to reach a peaceful solution and reopen the strait,” al-Ansari told reporters at a weekly briefing.
“We warn against the Israeli occupation exploiting the escalation in the region to impose a new reality in Palestinian, Lebanese and Syrian territories.”
