How did dinosaurs evolve to fly? Scientists have debated it for a long time. Did dinosaurs starts in treetops and learn to glide down? Or did they start on the ground and then jumped, flapped, and climbed trees on their way to flight? There was actually more than one way that it happened, at different times in natural history. The discoveries of genera like Archaeopteryx, Microraptor, Deinonychus, Balaur, Anchiornis, and many more have begun to shed new light on the many different ways flight could have possibly come about.
