War on Iran puts US relations with UN under strain

Six months after the United States and Israel launched military strikes on Iran, the war continues to strain relations between Washington and the United Nations. The UN Secretary-General condemned the strikes from the outset, but the organisation faces limits in containing the crisis without US cooperation. The tensions highlight the difficult relationship between Washington and the UN as the conflict continues.
