The claim comes amid reports that U.S. intelligence had warned Trump about the risks of launching military action against Iran. According to a Wall Street Journal report cited in the segment, then-Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard had cautioned that killing Iran’s leadership could lead to a more authoritarian government and potentially increase the country’s interest in weapons of mass destruction.

Gabbard also reportedly warned that Iran could retaliate by targeting U.S. allies and disrupting navigation through the Strait of Hormuz.
