The head of the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces has announced the group's dissolution. It's part of a deal struck with the government. Mazloum Abdi said the SDF would cease to operate as an independent force. The group lost most of its territory in north-eastern Syria during a government offensive in January. It then signed a deal to integrate into the military. Abdi has pledged to ensure the rights of Kurds are upheld.
