I Stayed In A 5 Star Castle In Scotland… I Was Shocked!

This week I travelled to Scotland to stay at the incredible Mar Hall, a five star luxury hotel set inside the historic Erskine House near Glasgow.

After my last castle hotel experience in Blackpool looked more like a dungeon, I wanted to see what staying somewhere like this would actually be like!

I’m checking out the room, exploring the historic interiors and grounds, trying the food, seeing what you get for the price and finding out whether this luxury Scottish stay is actually worth it.

The building dates back to the 1800s and has had a fascinating history, from grand country house to wartime hospital and now a five star resort following a huge £20 million transformation.

But there is one slight problem…

It turns out the “castle” I travelled all the way to Scotland to stay in isn’t technically a castle at all 😂
