Dozens of aviation enthusiasts are gathering in Osgoode this weekend to fly radio-controlled aircraft capable of reaching 300 kilometres per hour. CTV's Kimberley Johnson visits the Snake Island Jet Scramble to meet with commercial pilot Lewis Simon, who flies a model Viper jet alongside his son. The Ottawa Valley Jets Club hosts the fast-paced gathering twice a year, drawing participants from as far away as Toronto and Montreal to show off their skills. While the high-speed demonstrations remain closed to the general public under Transport Canada rules, the club invites anyone interested in the hobby to contact them directly.
