Thousands celebrate Scottish heritage at Highland Games

Thousands of people are gathering in Almonte this weekend to celebrate Scottish heritage at the 41st annual North Lanark Highland Games. CTV's Camille Wilson speaks with heavy events athlete Lorne Colthart, who moved to Ottawa from Scotland and is competing to defend his title. Attendees like Trish and Cody Buchanan proudly wear their family tartans to watch the 125 dancers and 30 pipe and drum bands perform. The Ottawa Valley tradition serves as the final stop on a summer-long tour of professional heavyweight competitions across the province.
