Tensions between Iran, Israel and the United States continue to intensify as the West Asia conflict enters another critical phase.
Syria has condemned a reported Israeli strike southwest of Damascus that wounded one person, marking the second such attack in a week. The development comes after US envoy to Syria Tom Barrack criticised an earlier Israeli strike on a Syrian military site, calling it an unnecessary escalation.
Meanwhile, Iran says the prolonged conflict has changed the regional balance of power. Tehran has also warned against placing trust in renewed negotiations, accusing its adversaries of repeatedly breaking commitments and relying on pressure.
Iranian officials say neighbouring countries have reached out over possible new regional security arrangements and economic cooperation, while President Masoud Pezeshkian has called for an end to the month-long conflict.
