CASE DETAILS:
- State of Nevada v. Duane Keith Davis
- Where: Clark County District Court
- Charges: One count of murder with a deadly weapon - The charge carries an enhancement alleging that Davis committed the act with the intent to promote, further, or assist a criminal gang
- Judge: Carli Kierny
- Defense: Michael Sanft (who took it pro bono after the last lawyers bailed).
- Jury: 6 men, 10 women
- Length: Expected to run 4–6 weeks, but who ever really knows?
This is the only guy ever charged in Tupac’s 1996 murder. State says he was the shot-caller who got the Glock and tossed it in the back seat after his nephew Orlando Anderson got stomped at the MGM by Tupac and his associates.
Their case is basically Keffe D's own words, but not JUST from the 2019 book. In 2008 he was looking at serious federal time for drug charges (PCP and a kilo of coke). He sat down with LAPD/FBI task force for a proffer and started talking about Tupac to try to help himself, others.
Then, he gave MORE he gave more statements in 2009 to Vegas detectives.
Then in 2019, he co-wrote Compton Street Legend with Yusuf Jah and put himself right in the Cadillac again.
Now he’s saying he never read the book, the ghostwriter made it up, and he only did it for money. The judge already ruled the book comes in.
