BREAKING: Houthis DECLARE Capture Of Bab El-Mandab Chokepoint In New Trouble For U.S. & Allies?

Iran-backed Houthi rebels are reportedly preparing to seize territory along Yemen's Bab el-Mandab coast, a strategic chokepoint linking the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden. AFP cited Yemeni government officials, Houthi military sources and government forces who say preparations for a major advance are underway. If successful, the move could strengthen Houthi control over one of the world's busiest shipping routes and increase threats to commercial vessels and oil tankers. The Houthis also claim they have targeted eight Saudi oil tankers and forced dozens more to turn back, escalating fears of a wider Red Sea shipping and energy crisis.
