Campaign crowds in Magdeburg rally behind AfD’s lead candidate

Less than three weeks before Saxony-Anhalt votes, far-right AfD supporters in Magdeburg line up to meet lead candidate Ulrich Siegmund, whom Der Spiegel has dubbed “the most dangerous man in Germany.” Polls suggest the AfD could not only top the vote but win an absolute majority of seats, giving it power to reshape education, broadcasting rules and policing, including how refugees and migrants are treated.
