CENTCOM commander Admiral Brad Cooper has acknowledged that “all is not perfect” aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln after visiting the carrier amid reports of exhaustion, supply problems and mental-health concerns. Cooper said the ship has among the lowest numbers of mental-health cases across the Navy’s active carriers, while families have described attempted self-harm, inadequate food, poor water and long waits for care. The Navy is sending additional counsellors and social workers as the extended deployment continues. Watch.
