Record floods prompt calls for infrastructure cash

A summer of record-breaking floods and severe storms is driving Ottawa leaders to demand more provincial and federal infrastructure funding. CTV's Josh Marano reports that Ottawa city councillor Tim Tierney is pushing for major investments in hidden infrastructure, including underground pipes and stormwater storage systems. More than 3,000 delegates are gathered in Ottawa for the Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) conference to address the infrastructure deficit. Ontario Municipal Affairs and Housing Minister Rob Flack says existing programs are available, but left the door open to additional support during discussions with municipal leaders.
