Carp Road Flea Market to close permanently

After 50 years in operation, the Carp Road Flea Market in Stittsville is shutting down indoor operations at the end of September. CTV's Kimberley Fowler reports that the building's owners decided to sell the property due to a long-term construction project that will impact accessibility. Vendor Melissa Pacey says the closure is crushing for sellers who have formed a close-knit community over the decades. While the indoor booths and the Barbie Museum are closing, the outdoor market will remain open on Sundays through October.
